Sunrise over the sea

a stone's throw from Etna

Etna Sunrise is a small and cozy b&b located in Zafferana Etnea, a quiet village at the foot of Europe's highest active volcano.

Etna, gentle giant, has always shaped the life and even the character of the industrious people of Saffron, as stubborn and rooted as the vines that grow in our splendid terraced vineyards or the ancient pometi that color Mount Pomiciaro.

Etna has designed our landscape over the millennia, and the oldest eruptions embrace our sea making this corner of the world unique, where you can ski while admiring the breathtaking view of our coastline or take a dip with "a muntagna" behind you peeking down at you from above!

In Zafferana, the Mother Church with its double bell tower overlooks the characteristic square made of white Syracuse stone and lava rock, where in summer tourists flock in search of coolness, relaxation and good food, and which during the Ottobrata hosts stands and stalls that spread the scents of Sicily all around.

Etna Sunrise b&b is in an excellent location, strategic with respect to the two most popular slopes of Etna, the southern and the northern. In thirty minutes you will find yourself in the presence of his majesty "a muntagna", whether you want to take the Cable Car to Rifugio Sapienza or immerse yourself in the wilder side of the volcano, at Rifugio Citelli or Piano Provenzana.

There are countless trails through which to get to know the volcano up close, from the most challenging to those suitable for the less experienced. The Pista Altomontana, the Schiena dell'Asino, the Monte Nero degli Zappini, the Citelli-Serracozzo, and the Monti Sartorius will allow you, with the most appropriate equipment and our advice, to experience live the thrill of walking these ancient trails and immerse yourself in the colors and smells of nature. Etna Sunrise b&b is also a welcome point of the Cai Italy Trail.
